The wine and food were excellent and varied, and reflected Veneto’s regional cuisine. Rachel was a very good host. She’s well informed, warm and a good conversationalist. She knows Padua very well and can see Veneto as both an insider and an outsider. Her good relationship with the wine bar staff made them very hospitable, which further enhanced a wonderful evening.”

“We enjoyed the wine tastings at two wineries, and we definitely learned a lot about the process, which was great. I was a little disappointed that we didn’t learn much history about the region, but it was a good experience overall. We booked last minute, so I didn’t get a chance to look at the tour company’s website until after, when I learned that they charge 3x to book via Viator. I understand charging a little bit more, because Viator takes their cut, but triple? That feels very exploitative. They got us train tickets to the region from Venice and picked us up at the station, both those tickets only…”
